Consignment

So I'm thinking about consigning my jewelry. I have an opportunity to work with a great little place in York, PA called The Studio and Art Bar. I'm thinking of putting a few of my pieces there to start, but I'm having a little trouble with pricing. The economy is so crappy right now that people aren't spending the way they normally would. I normally would charge anywhere from $65-$100 on some of these pieces. I need to account for the fact that it's a 40/60 split in the sale. I'm just wondering if that is too much??? Would you pay that for these beauties???? Any help is greatly appreciated!







I am also thinking of making a couple of unique scrabble tile chakra necklaces (with yoga sayings) on them. I have a some examples in my shoppe.

Appreciation...

A few months back, I put a shout out to the artists at etsy to see if anyone would be willing to donate items for a giveaway at my friend's yoga studio. The night of yoga was dedicated to raising money for a local food pantry here in North Coventry, PA. Low and behold, one wonderful artist donated a gorgeous framed print and some note cards. I was just going through my favorites on Etsy and came across her. I never did thank her properly, so Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. We wound up collecting lots of food and money donations and everyone had a great night.

I gently urge you to check out her shop. The name is The Painted Lily and here are a few of my favorites from her. The work just creates a sense of peace and calm. She is very talented!

RE-Do

So back in January, I posted about blogging for beads, where Artbeads will periodically send me products to try and create with and all I have to do is blog about my creations. I wasn't totally happy with what I created for them so I re-created the necklace and I think it's much better. The necklace is a little bit longer and will look perfect over the top of a higher neck shirt or layered with other jewelry.
So here is the description of the product again:

This blue and green 40mm Millefiori Murano glass focal bead is highlighted by dangling a clear round crystal and peridot bicone crystals. A silver-plated elongated chain is used. Sterling silver lobster claw clasp. Measures 30 inches. If you aren't familiar with Murano Glass, it's beautiful, handmade glass and has been a famous product of the Venetian island of Murano for centuries.

Wedding In A Box Magic Moments Bridal Show

Here are a few snapshots of our fantastic vendor table at the Raddison Valley Forge Magic Moments Bridal show today. This was our first show as Wedding in A Box and everyone seemed so excited and receptive to our services...especially the personal attention we can provide to our brides and their bridal parties. This was a pretty large show with a lot of vendors so we are looking forward to some smaller venues where we can talk more personally with the brides. The day was filled with a lot of excitement for us and all the positive feedback we received. This is surely going to be an awesome ride.
