Drumroll Please.....

And the winner of the "It's Not All About Pigs" Giveaway Contest is....

KINZIE SUE

And the answer to why I named my shoppe Hammi Jammi Jewelry is because when my kids are acting like such clowns I started calling them hams. Then it turned into "you are a hambone jambone." Now, it's abbreviated to "you are a hammi jammi." I also love pigs so the name seemed fitting for my Jewelry Shoppe on Etsy.

It's Not All About Pigs Contest Giveway....

Well, everyone seems to ask me where I got the name for my shoppe. I do love pigs...it's true! The are cute and smart and I like the way they snort. However, that is not the only reason I named my etsy shoppe Hammi Jammi Jewelry. So this is the deal, you need to hunt around and find out why I named my shoppe what I did. You will find it somewhere...I promise that it's not too hard to find. Just leave me a comment with the answer. I have the comments hidden so if you put down an answer, no one else will see it OR you can shoot me an email at www.carriegrab@comcast.net. All correct answers will be placed in a drawing to win a prize from the giveaway category on my etsy shoppe at www.carriegrab419.etsy.com. Please leave your favorite item from this category and I will send you that item should you win the contest.

The contest starts this Friday, February 20 at midnight EST and will end on Friday, February 27 at midnight EST.

Happy hunting for why I named my shoppe Hammi Jammi and be sure to take a look at the giveaway items in my shoppe and pick which one you like.

PS- If you don't feel like hunting around or you just can't find why my shoppe is called Hammi Jammi, you can blog about my giveaway for a contest entry. If you answer my riddle (and get it correct) and you blog about the giveaway, you can get 2 entries. Just let me know if you blog about it so I can go check it out.

A Wedding In A Box

Well, I alluded to a new business venture a few weeks ago. Several vendors and I have been furiously working on coming up with our promotional materials for A Wedding In A Box . We all have such positive feelings about this new venture we are embarking upon.

It's a portal for health and beauty, massage and yoga, jewelry, honeymoons, and photography all geared towards brides and their bridal parties. We are targeting brides in the Eastern PA region (the Philly subburbs). We will be able to go to bridal shows and reception venues and give brides a taste of something spectacular and unique.

Anyway, if you have a moment, take a look at the website. All the kinks aren't totally worked out yet, but it's pretty close. You can even see the "magazine" we've created to hand out to potential clients.

A New Twist on Motherhood

A client of mine asked me to create something that she could give to her mom and her sister that would be meaningful. So we came up with a bracelet and necklace made out of carnelian, turquoise, tigers eye beads, and copper. I am making 3 sets (one for my client, her mom, and her sister). She is traveling to Columbia the end of the month so my jewelry is going International...LOL! The bracelets have small copper charms that have the initials of my clients 2 children and the initals of her sister's child. The necklace has a small charm near the clasp that has the first initial of each of the children. I really wanted to share pictures of these pieces since it's something really special and not your typical mother/grandmother jewelry, but it still commemorates special little people.
